On Thursday, June 5th, the New Hampshire House of Representatives was scheduled to hold floor votes on SB 54, which if passed would have implemented the NRA’s Hunter Education, Eddie Eagle GunSafe, or equivalent programs in New Hampshire schools. However, due to a successful tabling motion by Rep. Donald McFarlane (R-Grafton 18), the bill has been tabled and will not be voted on this session.
Rep. Terry Roy (R- Rockingham 31), the sponsor of the provision to implement gun safety training in schools, has announced that he will be reintroducing the proposal next year as a stand-alone bill. Please stay tuned to the NRA-ILA website and your inbox as this legislation progresses.
