I think they need to release better 338 sub ammo without having to get it from a special ammo site.

I'm waiting a couple years before committing to either caliber.
All these arc cartridges are coming out without proven mags. And sometimes bolts.
The only one that finally got a magazine was 6arc and that took years. And the good ones supposedly are Geisselle. And they're beyond HK prices at 120 apiece.
And its a finicky cartridge, especially if your life is on the line, unless you pay Geisselle prices.
300 blk is fine. Or 6.5 creedmore and 308. At least until they make them reliable and predictable.
6max interests me, it seems reliable. But only 20 round magazines. Although competition shooters have 30 rounders.
The Dissent looks like a really good rifle though.

At this point there’s some new caliber that comes out just about every week that’s supposedly better than the last thus ensuring none of them will ever stick and see wide adoption.
I haven’t shot any of these rounds. Not the .338 ARC or the 8.6 Blackout. Had a couple .300 Blackouts but meh. I’m actually super interested in 6mm ARC right now. Kinda want to build one out. Just don’t want to have to buy a whole new lower to run it.
