Tomorrow, Senate Bill 706—legislation to give universal recognition to every out-of-state handgun license— is set for its second reading on the Texas House floor. Please use the TAKE ACTION button below to contact your state representative and urge a “YES” vote on SB 706 before time runs out in the 89-th Legislature.

SB 706 requires Texas to recognize all valid out-of-state concealed carry licenses. This NRA and TSRA priority legislation would bring Texas on par with twenty other states. Universal recognition of concealed carry licenses is not only a priority at the state level but remains a top priority in congress through H.R. 38

Your NRA-ILA will continue to monitor this legislation and keep you updated on all Second Amendment developments in Texas.
