That's a great point! I've always just done a press check and smacked the forward assist afterwards. This is a lot simpler and won't risk putting your firearm out of battery! Great content! You earned a sub!

Who the hell does that? After I release my bolt, I switch the selector to fire and rock out. Never had an issue.
