Which barrel length did you choose for your build and why?
11.5 suppressed is the way 🤌🏽
I have an 11.5 and it's my favorite do anything rifle… I have a heavy bull barrel with a close quarter brake on it and it dont buck at all and fast follow up shots… its great had it for years.
I think my chronograph is way off. I'm not getting this high of velocities on mine.
Do a gel test
I think a comparison of muzzle energy to barrel length and bullet weights would have been a nice touch.

Yes. Do the accuracy test and use 3-4 different grains.
I’m calling before i watch the shooting. I choose 11.5” barrel does everything I really need. It’s good for indoor and outdoor ranges that I imagine I’d need.
11.5, with an A5 buffer tube……magical 26 inches total length without pin and weld…. this is the way.
For a Whisper Pickle the 10.5 is supposed to be min so it doesn't get cooked , that still the rule of thumb?
If i'm going short, I stick with 12.5 all day.

I think the best AR-15 pistol barrel length comes down to balancing velocity and maneuverability
Anything under 10.5" you should be going 300blk. 556 is straight up obnoxious at those lower barrel lengths even suppressed.
Built a 7.5 for home protection. Still will get the job done with potentially less penetration through walls.

I have 4 ARs from 16" to 7.5" and I love ALL of them!! Each has there specific purpose!
