I think those thinner barrel rail systems look terrible. The first 2 look robust the next 2 look frail, then there's old school all the way too the left.
14.5 if you're carrying it all the time and shooting a little. 20" if you're shooting it all the time and carryjng a little. I like 16s as a decent middle ground, but absolutely nothing shorter than an 11.5, too much velocity is lost.
14,5" in 5.56 the best compromise between handling and terminal ballistics… with a 14.5" you can do everything and you don't lose too much ballistic performance with a real 5.56 which allows you to have very good terminal ballistics and to be able to shoot quite far, while having a compact and handy rifle.
If flatter, smoother, cooler, more reliable, more durable, and more effective becomes boring for you, supplement it with a 14.5-inch. But 20-inch is objectively better if you are going to own just one.
The best overall system is going to be a 20” barrel, rifle length gas with rifle length stock and buffer system. Of course other stuff can work but everything below that is a compromise

I feel like my 7.5 in does the job just fine

14.5 and 20 inch. Be lethal up close when necessary and reach out and touch with lethality when the situation calls for it. 😉😎
What model is that 10.3? All look sick
18 becuse more optics attachements
Wasn’t the 5.56 literally designed around the 20 inch barrel?
14.5in M4gery…62gr Bonded SP, 62/70gr TSX or m855a1

All are beautiful
16/20
I have a 20,16,14.5,10.5. My favorites the 20 and the 16.
20 inch not even close
10.3 and 20 just have that aesthetic
16. End of story
16 is the best
12.5
20-inch is the master race.

14.5 most widely used fir a civ 11.5
11.5" unless it's a different caliber than a 5.56. 300blk: 7" 6arc and 22arc: 18". But, those are just my personal preferences

20
That 18incher tho 🥰
Honestly 11.5 is probably the best all around if you only could buy one. Its tight enough for cqb and long enough to at&t
18" Barrel with Rifle Length Gas thank me later
16
14.5 all day for me
11.5 for general purpose, if I want longer range, I’ll go .308. I run a 10.5 too, but from what I see, a 11.5 is a touch better ballistics.
12.5 / anything 20"+
