RMA Armament :
The Ruger Mini-14 Tactical is one of the quirkiest rifles you’ll ever shoot — but that’s exactly what makes it so much fun. In this video, I take the Ruger Mini-14 Tactical out to the range and break down why it feels so different from your standard AR-15. From its retro design and unique recoil pattern to its nostalgic A-Team vibes, the Mini-14 brings a whole new energy to the shooting experience.
Is the Mini-14 Tactical better than an AR-15? Not exactly — but it might just be the most underrated rifle for pure fun at the range. Watch as I go hands-on with the Ruger Mini-14 Tactical, test its handling, recoil, and quirks, and explain why this weird rifle still has a place today.

Dont forget the Mini-30 in 7.62×39.
"The Ruger mini-fwahaa" 🤣
This one gun i said i would always get but now everyone on YouTube show it now the price is going to get ridiculous. The A team gun 😊😊😊
Bucket list gun for years now
Mini 14s used to be about 300 dollars .. I wish I had got one then .. now they run like 1000 ..
The A team Rifle
Colion Noir is the AI version of a GunTuber. He hits all the talking points without ever actually saying anything. Just mindless marketing.
You mention the .300blk version, but never mention the 7.62×39 mini – 30. Do you hate us Russian caliber lovin revolutionaries??! Hurts bro. I love my mini – 30. The perfect balance of American built firearms, and crappy russian ammo that used to be $0.09 / rd.
Gen-X and boomers know exactly what that gun is… *stares off thinking of a cool black/red van, Mr. T, Murdock, and company
Tupac used it. You're weird
The full auto AC556 is fun to shoot. When bill Ruger died the quality went down on them and slowly phased in the AR15 popularity. What has revived them is factory threaded barrels compared to having to send to gunsmith to swap barrels and get them Headspaced. Plus the earlier ones you’d have to send out to get accurized. But I think this generation of Ruger will revive it for the better.
A-Team baby!!!!
Mr T lite
The only thing that makes the Mini 14 better than an AR is the NY compliant version does not look like an abortion
Looks like the paratrooper version
There's a special place in my heart for the Mini-14. I have nothing but respect for the AR-15, the Mini-14 just has that extra coolness for me.
“I love it, when a plan comes together.”
Made famous by Plax and Maddox in Miami, FL 1986(FBI shootout)
The Mini14 has been around for quite a long time in many different configurations.
Itˋs not the most accurate rifle, but it is sure fun to shoot and I just love my Mini 14 Ranch Rifle
I love the Mini-14! I had one back in the late 1980's. At the time it was cheaper than AR-15s, same rounds as Ar-15's and looked cool as hell with the wood on it. Unfortunately I sold it long ago and have been kicking myself for it. I wanted to buy another one recently, but couldn't justify it cuz I could get a modern AR for the same or cheaper price. The AR's have standard mags and everything else. While Mini-14's can only use Mini-14 stuff. I loved the classic wood and blue metal look. I do miss it sometimes.
I had one and regret selling it 2 weeks before the Clinton AR ban
I have a Mini 30 and love it. It does not scream "assault gun" by its looks. It is just a rifle and with 5&10 round mags it is just perfect for plinking. Thank you for the post
The mini's are great shooters. I would like to have both of them. Thanks for the video.
Colon is on the Jazz, Man (iykyk)
A team and nostalgia but mini 14 is just a 10/22 on steroids and dont forget the mini 30 but I want the Hollywood version cuz A team's when shos as automatic.
Is better, & i would, accuracy systems has goodies
Algorithm defeated
I've had Mini-14s several times. I'd still have one if Ruger had ever produced a model that accepted unmodified AR mags.
As a child of the 80’s I simply cannot pick up a factory folder mini-14 (the new Samson stocks count too) without channeling my inner B.A. Baracus.
In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them… maybe you can hire The A-Team.
My friend and I both bought a basic wood mini. Then, both bought the tactical versions. We were obsessed. Lol it really is a fun rifle to shoot and just as accurate as a basic AR
