Today, companion bills Senate Bill 952 and House Bill 6025, protecting our Second Amendment Rights during a state of emergency, received final passage from the legislature and will now head to Governor DeSantis’s desk for his consideration.

Senate Bill 952 & House Bill 6025 repeal automatic prohibitions that violate Floridians’ Second Amendment rights during a state of emergency. The following acts are automatic prohibitions that this legislation would repeal: the intentional possession of a firearm in public, the sale of any ammunition or firearms, and the intentional display of ammunition or firearms in a store.

The NRA would like to thank Senator Blaise Ingoglia, Representatives Monique Miller and Debbie Mayfield for sponsoring the legislation, the co-sponsors, and the legislators who supported this legislation.

Please stay tuned to the NRA-ILA website and your inbox for updates as this legislation progresses.
