That is copper in the barrel. Firearms are always tested at the factory with proof rounds before shipping.
What borescope are you using?
Hey I just bought one of these receivers and I have two questions that no video I've seen has answered yet. Does the bolt protrude past the end of the receiver in the open position? If so, how far? I'm hoping to do a buffer tube delete in mine and replace it with a 1913 rail and side folding stock but don't want to spend the money until I know for sure.
Barrel can use with a good JB/Kroil scrubbin!
Also look at the crown with the comp off. Looked like burrs galore in quick view you gave.
Bear Creek has been fine for me. I have four. One was short chambered. BC made good FAST. All mine shoot REAL nicely!
