  1. I ordered a 4.5 inch to mount my AFG on and a couple 2 inch for a light and bipod, I also got the panels and love them, I put one on each side of the AFG and they keep the heat from the gas block off your hand, the rails are expensive but they are aluminum! The panels are worth the money and their thin and textured!

  2. I bought this rail in 15 inch and so far I love it, my only problem is it did have the picatinny rail sections in the package, only a qd rail, now I don't have a way to mount my afg and light! It was supposed to have 3 rails with it!! Oh well.

  3. Great video and description. I am thinking about this MI gen2 ss rail. Couple of questions. Once you have the 12 inch on would you be able to just take rail off and install 15inch with out changing the barrel nut? Also, I was wondering if I should just go with the 12inch and get a 14.5 inch upper? Are there many cons with going 14.5 inch over 16inch upper?

  4. I need help!!!! I have the Gen2 as handguard and a mega upper. I screwed the barrel nut on that comes with handguard all the way until.it has made contact with my upper also it is in perfect position to place my gas tube however when I go to slide on my handguard the teeth on will not reach the barrel but because the handguard makes contact with the upper before the teeth are close enough to clamp on to the barrel nut. I hope I explained it properly. Please I need help!

  5. I know this is an old video but I was hoping you or someone with some hands on knowledge could answer this question for me. I notice a lot of people placing their front sight on the free float handguard and was wondering if there have been and sighting issues if and when the rifle takes a hard hit ? i.e. running/tripping and dropping the rifle. Are these handguards that solid that  no one fears throwing the sights out of whack ? When I was in the gulf my rifle took some really hard hits and I don`t think the sights would have stayed on target if it was`t for that solid A2 style front sight assembly…I know a lot of people are now using these as just backup sights to more accurate optics but a lot don`t… any thoughts ?

  6. I just purchases the gen 2 ss rail without even knowing the ssm m-lok was a thing. Is there a real difference between the two or is it just the mounting system? I personally like to have all the new things, but if thats the only difference I won't mind.

  7.  In your opinion, how would this rail fair with a 20 inch upper with standard front sight post?  Or would it be better to just get a low pro gas block, longer rail and a folding FS?

  8. Do you know if the magpul moe mvg will attach directly the slots in the rail? I know the dimensions are close to one another but have not been able to get my hands on one of the vertical grips. Thanks!

  9. Dude,… you always have awesome vids bro! Much apprec! I am doing a custom build centered around the Adams Arms piston system on a 14.5" mid length barrel. The piston system can run rather hot at the handguard, and I even noticed a Midwest Industries rail that specifically said that it was not intended for piston AR's. I'm focusing this build around lightness, so I'm staying pretty strict to wight reduction. I am borderline about to 'pull the trigger' on buying this rail in 12" for my build. Although, I am also contemplating the MI SSM M-Lok rail also available in 12" length. It is about half an oz lighter. I wonder if it might be too "swiss cheesed" (if you will) to be strong enough for the heat of the piston system. I was wondering if your gun is a piston system, and if not, have you heard anything about these lighter MI rails and durability against piston systems. I am also very interested in the Diamondhead VRS-T 13.5" rail, as the comfort looks superior and offers a 13.5" rail (as I am 6'5" tall with a long reach) it would be nice to have a little longer rail. Wondering if Stags Arms uses this rail on their M8T series because it's most ideal for piston systems and heat considerations. Any intel that you could share to help me find the right rail for me would be greatly appreciated! Let me know what you can do for a tall guy that wants a light weight piston system AR rail. Help!   LoL     🙂

  10. This rail is great if your not mounting any attachments because its really light, however after using this I had a rail section that had my bipod mounted to it break when it fell on the floor. Seems like the sections are polymer or at least the ones I got are. Ok if your going to the range and benching it but stay away from these rails if you actually use your rifle and have the possibility of it dropping or knocking into things, Ive had samson rails and also yankee hill ones drop in the same way and not break.
