  1. I watched a lot of test and they have shown that the 9mm JRN is one of the most penetrative round. The 556 rounds generally penetrate less that the vast majority of 9mm or even 45. The shotgun slug is one of the worst. The 556 round is so very loud, so it may harm you and your family's hearing. A good reason to do away with the horrible tax stamp, etc. on suppressors.
Great advice on the walk-through. We have done that to help us plan as much as we can, but understand nothing is perfect.

  2. Hi Eric.. Off beat with this video, But, thanks for doing your informative video's.. I bought a SKS 20 years ago (numbers matching) from a Walmart.. I cleaned out cosmo all day and into the night, and test fired the rifle the next day with about 20 rounds of Tulammo (functioned good) then cleaned again and stored.. YEARS later, I saw your video cleaning your SKS.. After watching your video, I "panicked" and immediately grabbed the SKS from the closet and followed your step by step instruction.. Upon taken completely down, I was relieved to see that I did a pretty good job on my first cleaning years ago.. "BUT" I did notice some chipping of the blueing on the face of the trigger hammer, and in accordance with your video, I found the firing pin was installed "wrong" and was "STUCK" protruding from the block.. Removed pin, re-cleaned, and replaced.. Another 20 rounds of Tulammo, Shoot's great, much smoother, and back in the closet… Thank you so much.. Regards, Dan…

  3. Reliable.. got it. But I'm in Canada, my Daniel Defense (reliable) AR15 has to live in a double locked box until we elect a competent government. Not a tool that I can legally access in a hurry such as during a home invasion.

  4. If I were to live in an apartment or a trailer park I would definitely use a 12 or 20 gauge loaded with either #4 buck or turkey loads. I live in a brick house and my neighbors are at least 250 yards from us. I have a 12 gauge loaded with 00buck and a 9mm handgun for my wife because I leave at 3:30 am every morning, and that 12 gauge is too much for her.

  5. I have been building 125 grain ballistic tip rounds for my 300 BO pistol. I watched a video a few years ago, where subsonic 220 grain were blowing through multiple 2X4's. While the supers were being stopped by a couple of 2X4's, like you talked about. I have the Vortex UH-1 Gen 1, mounted on it. I also have a scope for it, just to play with longer range shooting.

  6. It may not penetrate armor but a shotgun will still throw you on your ass or face or whatever. Slugs and Flite Control even more so. One has to consider how a jury will think of your home defense tool/ammunition as well
