16 inch are so popular because you don't need a tax stamp and 18 and 20s are not used by anyone in a greatly public way. Simple answer. If we could replicate what military has we'd all have 11s and 14.5s with cans.
It’s because the M1 Carbine was 16”. There were so many in circulation that after the war that the government decided to make regulation 16” instead of their original plan of 16.5” because then there would be an outstanding number of citizens with short barreled rifles
Because 16" is the minimum length our overlords have granted us peasants permission to own without paying an extortion fee to exercise not only a Constitutional right, but a God-given right.
What an idiot he said so much and nothing at all. Its literally because thats the shortest you can go legally without tax stamp, shitty pistol braces, or pin and welds.
Because it makes the rifle 28” total length to not be an NFA item. Barrel lengths is just a side effect of that. Also avoids unnecessary Tax stamp along with wait times.
Because you have numerous dumbshits on your channel who think a 16” + 77g OTM = 1000m hits easily like a “sNiPeR” because they read it on a forum and it validates the gun they bought and never shoot
16's are the most popular because it's the shortest size allowed without a "tax stamp". Bottom line: 16s wouldn't be "a thing" if the NFA didn't exist! #RepealTheNFA
Because I can’t get 14.5 without a extra 200$ and a wait time
And long before 200$ was a lot , a cop sign off and a long long wait time ! 16in is the next best thing , also if your wife or girlfriend said she would want another 2in….shes lying to you

Only bc it's the shortest I can have without a tax stamp. Also, even my 18.5" 12GA is manageable, but unwieldy in very confined hallways for instance.
“Why is the sky blue?….. that’s just how it is “
That is a stupid question. It's because of laws

I bet if 12in ar’s were the lowest you could go without a stamp everyone would have a 12in rifle
It’s because the M1 Carbine was 16”. There were so many in circulation that after the war that the government decided to make regulation 16” instead of their original plan of 16.5” because then there would be an outstanding number of citizens with short barreled rifles
ATF is gay
NFA
It came from arbitrary bureaucrats due the the GCA
Because 16" is the minimum length our overlords have granted us peasants permission to own without paying an extortion fee to exercise not only a Constitutional right, but a God-given right.
Bullshit regulations, that's why. Next
Popular cus it’s a short as we can go without having to question any unconstitutional “legal” BS
Because of arbitrary gun laws
“Why do people take advil instead of microdosing on heroin?”
Laws
NFA
What an idiot he said so much and nothing at all. Its literally because thats the shortest you can go legally without tax stamp, shitty pistol braces, or pin and welds.
Trex arms do better please
because the atf commit treason and extortion and people on top have a power trip
Thumbs down. Tell everyone why the 16 is so popular. Infringement! The answer is infringement.
NFA. But also manueverable while maintaining that damage from the velocity.
You asked the same question three times and then didn’t answer it.
This is a really stupid question for the viewers of this channel.
Why not ask why a single shot gun can't do quick follow up shots while you're at it?
Because it makes the rifle 28” total length to not be an NFA item. Barrel lengths is just a side effect of that. Also avoids unnecessary Tax stamp along with wait times.
Because the ATF decided anything less than 16" is scary
Because you have numerous dumbshits on your channel who think a 16” + 77g OTM = 1000m hits easily like a “sNiPeR” because they read it on a forum and it validates the gun they bought and never shoot
Becuase we don't want the stupid ass NFA having our written permission to randomly come and knock on the front door.
Are they really asking this?

Why don't I own a RPG launcher with tandem warheads? Probably the same reason.
Because I can’t get 14.5 without a extra 200$ and a wait time
