  2. The gun that holds that special place in my heart is my grandfather's Colt .38 Police Special service revolver from when he was a cop in California. It was the first handgun I ever fired, and that was when he was teaching me how to shoot. I inherited it when he passed away to include the complete duty belt with a specially designed speed draw holster.

  3. The folding front sight/block is also GG&G. Pretty sure it's discontinued, and wish it wasn't because I've been waiting over a year for one to pop up on GAFS. Also pretty sure the upper is a factory GG&G Dominator-1. Currrently going for almost 800 on valhalla tactical supply

  4. Little bit of an AR novice, I only have one & it’s my first. So yeah, it has some personal value. Got it a few years ago & it’s a featureless Springfield St. Victor 16” 556, I put a red dot optic on it raised for co-witness since I’m primarily an iron sight shooter, along with a JT grip.

  5. Sold my first AR, miss it terribly. Had a spur-type grip with an extended trigger guard that felt better than the fin grip imo, can’t find that grip today no matter how hard I look. 16” A1-style rifle with an A2 stock and basic mil-spec furniture, loved that thing.

  6. My nostalgia gun for me is definitely my first handgun. My gen 3 glock 22. I've had it for almost 16 years and still love it as much as I did the day I brought it home. Still trust my life and the lives of my loved ones 💯. Carried it on duty. Take it with me when i travel. Take it camping. Everywhere. I'll never sell it.

  7. Yeah I have one. Its a delton lightweight chrome lined barrel with carbine gas system that my fiance got me. I took a lightweight m lol free float handguard and chopped it so the top rail extends passed the m lok about a fixed front light length just so it's one of a kind. I have it slim fixed front and rear sights on it and a strike industries fixed stock that I modified to be .5 inches longer than entry length. The last price of it is a cassette trigger called the black widow that this guy on eBay used to make about 7 years ago that is arguably one of the best single stage triggers I have ever shot and will never be able to replace. This gun will never be sold no matter what.

  8. I'm a nostalgic person, and while I don't really have a nostalgic memory of any firearms, I recently bought my 1st AR15 rifle and plan to hang onto it. It's a cheap Anderson Manufacturing AM15 that I bought from Sportmans Warehouse. They have mixed reviews, but I bought it to learn the platform and still be able to shoot it while I get to know what I like and don't like, and then build one from scratch. I'm a lefty as well, so I'll be looking into that ambi mag release.

  9. My first AR was a "Colt Match Target Competition HBAR" full 20" A4 rifle. What a mouthful. It was post Roberti-Roos so the name had to be funny. Bought that sometime in the 90's. I sold that gun, and recently built a PSA A2/A4 Classic rifle to reproduce it. I still have my second and third AR builds, a Bushmaster carbine from '99 and a CalGuns SB-23 lower – Stag upper build from '07. My most recent are last year, but I still keep all my old builds for nostalgia like you. 🙂
