Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X vs TLR-7 A, SUB, and TLR-1 HL

We compared the following Streamlight weaponlights (in this order): TLR-7 HL-X, TLR-7 A, TLR-7 SUB, TLR-1 HL. The TLR-7 HL-X is worth upgrading from a TLR-7 A, no question. You’re getting significantly more lumens and candela out of a light that’s the same width and only 3/8″ longer. The TLR-7 SUB is for subcompact firearms so this was more to demonstrate that running a subcompact pistol can be limiting when finding a weaponlight. That being said, we think the TLR-7 SUB is probably the best subcompact light when it comes to price, performance, and options for different firearm makes/models. The TLR-1 HL is most similar to the TLR-7 HL-X in terms of light output. The trade-off you’ll have to decide on is the larger form of the TLR-1 HL and its significantly longer run time vs the compact form and 30 minute run time of the HL-X.

We currently have holsters for the Glock 19, 17, 34 with a TLR-7 A / X / HL-X and the TLR-1 HL. (For the TLR-7 SUB, we have holsters for the G43, G48, Sig P365, P365XL, Sig XMacro, and Hellcat.) SGUSA.com
