I installed the same light after watching your video.
When I shoot the gun, the light glass gets completely covered in carbon from emissions, turning black, so it's not usable as a flashlight anymore 🙂
Whenever I shoot 100-200 rounds at the range, I have to scrub it, so it's functional again.
Do you have this issue?

I just bought the tlr 7 x sub I need the 5 key to get this close to the trigger guard?
I prefer the gap. It keeps the light switches out of the trigger guard. Just a personal preference.
