Shoot a Half Mile with an AR-15-Testing Super Vel 77gr .223

Join me for a day at the range where I am putting the new Super Vel .223 77 grain OTM through its paces.
We stretch it out as far as I can go with the equipment.

I bring my trusty Radian Weapons chambered in
223 Wylde with a 1:8 twist. I chose to top the gun for this test with an excellent but low powered optic from Steiner Optics, the T6Xi 1-6×24

Purposefully, I brought no bipod, shooting bags, or rests. I wanted to see what me, the ammo, and the rifle/optic could do.

We have another video in the works with a purpose built precision long-range rifle. It’ll be slick.

  1. Nice range good job. I’m jealous one thing I noticed I’ve seen long range shooters talk about being in a straight line behind the gun. It looks like you’re at an angle or maybe it’s the camera.
