The new CMMG V2 magazines ( have looked great in concept, but have suffered from having too weak of a magazine spring. The weakness prevents the Catch22 from consistently locking up after the last round is fired.
Catch22 carries a new lightened bolt catch spring ( that at least improves the functionality with these CMMG mags. It’s still not 100% consistent, but it’s better than it used to be.

Using these mags on a BCA .22lr upper they tend to push up on the ejector causing the bolt to jam. Not sure if this happens with other manufactures. Simple solution is to file down part of the feed lip on the left side. Only takes about +/- 1/16 of an inch.
Does this work with an ambi bolt release?
Wow so I guess the lightened spring really does make a huge difference. Any downsides with the lightened spring when going back to using normal 556 config?
So I was trying to buy the shim for the SW1522 mag and. V2 catch22. At the checkout, you only accept PayPal as a payment option… Please tell me you have an alternative to PayPal as some people do Not use PayPal, me included.
PayPal has been very anti 2A and you should really not rely on them as a sole source for payment. There are other options that you need to explore if you haven't already done so.
Now how do I buy your products without PayPal?
Anyone try swapping mag spring for a stronger one? Perhaps from S&W mag?
I've had really good results with the lightened spring and cmmg v2 mags in my pistol with standard and high velocity rounds. Even stingers with the cmmg anti bounce bolt weight lock back reliably.
