In this video, I top off my $3,500 Bergara M40-ish with a sub $300 scope.

The SH4 and SHJ4 are phenomenal scopes that punch way above their weight for the price points. They track well, are feature rich, and have lifetime transferable warranties. Not a lot to complain about when it comes to these optics.

  2. I wanna work on my distance shooting but have nowhere to go im in DFW TEXAS if anyone has a place and is willing to let me come shoot I would be a loyal friend you would be my only friend to be honest😅 father of 4 and really nobody into what I'm into in my life hunting fishing and shooting alone

  3. Excellent video….I just ordered an SH4J for my very first bolt gun build at 54 years young. It will sit on top of a Ruger American gen 2 .308 in a Magpull Hunter stock. I also added a Timney trigger group. I have no plans to ever compete, so I know the SH4J will be all the glass I will ever need.

  4. Just received the SH4 and I am mounting it on my AR10. As a former Army sniper/SWAT team member and retired now at 56 yrs old I pretty much shot every rifle and scope brand there is? This scope seems like an excellent choice not just for the price but the level of mil spec quality you get? I have not used this yet however I was immedidately impressed after using the turrets and the heft of this thing? Very solid, beefy as heel. And even stronger feel to it then the SWFA mil spec unicorns still floating out there!

  5. Their scopes aren't bad for the price. They're definitely hitting above their average. They do have a pretty touchy eye relief though, which makes it tough for PRS competition. A near perfect cheek weld is essential.

  6. I've had the exact same optic, 4-16×50 for a while. Just moved it to my new Tikka T3x Tac A1 in 6.5 cm. But I also just had shoulder surgery so it's gonna be a while before I get to run it. With that said, the optic was fantastic on the previous rifle I had it on.

  7. Everyone of these videos that I watch they always show a 1 inch or less grouping, BUT I have yet to see a 1 inch or less group dead center of the target. They are always off to the side 2 to 5 inches, WHY? Back in the day, I heard this type of shooting to be called, Close enough by many. I never liked the phares Close Enough, or Good Enough or the Best I can do, with anything. It alwasy gave me the feeling that their was room for improvment. In my line of work now, if I hear an employee use those words, Thats usually his last day at work. LOL.

  8. Confused. I purchased discovery second focal plane scope and I thought I made a mistake not purchasing a first vocal plane scope because I’m going to be using my rifle for long-distance target shooting up to 300 yards maybe a little bit more.

I was speaking to Hunter who knows some professional target shooters and some ex snipers who prefer second focal playing over first vocal plane, which surprised me. What’s your opinion?

  9. I would believe this was a good review. But the fact that there’s a discount code and they have some promotional stuff for your channel makes this review bias and therefore unreliable, it’s also an unpopular zoom range as most go for 1-10 or 5-25. Meh

  10. Ive been shooting Leapers UTG scopes for years. Add that one to your list. UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope less than 150 USD and worth every penny. BUT, not 1st focal plane. So this scope being first focal plane is pretty crazy.
