To be fair, the barrel just got out of a cold pool.
The floor isn't flush with the frame. Otherwise it would work. It's not the wedging action that is the secret sauce. Friction between the floor and wedge is the magic. As the door moves it tries to climb the wedge and pushes it into the floor. Friction is a function of the force the harder you push the harder the door stop pushes into the floor.
