Extremely bright for a small flashlight but overly bright were you get a back splash◔◔>share4.photo/Streamlight?Ь  Original I bought this light to put it in one of my pen pockets on my outer vest carrier but it’s a little too big for that. Still carry it everyday in a pocket though.
Hey, love the Microstream C4, but I wanted to let you know that a competitor of Streamlight (Better in my opinion) has a little bighter light, its a 4 Sevens Preon 1, 1 AAA, and I think 70 lumens, just a little smaller that the Microstream. I constantly rotate between the Microstream, Preons and Stylus pro. I do own a stinger LED HL DS, and have it for home use.
Is your Microstream green? Because mine is a dark green. Also when you screwed off the push cap, I noticed that your push button under your cap was black whereas mine is white. I'm wondering if I have a knockoff or the real thing. Also mine came scratched up pretty bad for it to be from Streamlight.
What is the model # for the newer light? I looked it up on Amazon and it showed it with 20 lumens. Yours says 28 lumens. I want to be sure to get the right one. Thanks.
@anabolicgardo
I have a surfire m3 and it goes on a duty belt and I have a fenix tk11 for a weapon light. Surefires are overpriced and they tend to have less lumens then what they say. If you want a carry light get a streamlight and if you want a weapons light I would recomend a fenix and if you are dead set on a surfire, go right ahead its a great light.
@anabolicgardo I unfortunately do not own any Surefire lights. I would say those are definitely more tactical lights better suited for adding to weapons and such.
@deconzilla lol that is just a piece of plastic they add in order for the buyer to be able to press on the light to try it out without damaging the packaging
I have the same thing. Great light, small and powerful. Huge output for such a little light. Carry it with me everyday. When you get one, you use it a couple times a day!
Luis — thank you very much for posting this. I have been waiting for this one to come out. I am a huge fan of the MS and always have been. I'm glad to see that SL put out a more powerful version for a budget price. I'm going to order one today.
Surprising difference in the light demo. I have had the original for about 3 months and love it, so useful. Almost wish I waited. What is the lumen difference between the two?

Do you have any Surefire lights? If so, what do you think about them? Worth the bigger price than Streamlight's?

@MrQuackism i've been carrying it for a couple of months but it's not a hard use light
How long have you been using your old Microstream? It looks very new. You've been taking care of it.
@staglefty that is the angel c
I was thinking it looked familiar, and sure enough I found one under a pile of junk on the desk. Yeah, been a good light and the AAA keeps it simple.
