  1. Interesting thing about being a lefty is that i never even considered a left version of one, even the very first time i ever held one. I just found my way to manipulate the controls and never even felt like i was at some disadvantage. If youre a lefty and just getting into this hobby try using a normal setup left handed and pay attention to how it feels when you try to maneuver it or use the safety and whatnot. The charging handle was the only minor inconvenience which was easily solved with a cheap ambi one.

  2. First AR was a PSA.
Ended up upgrading everything internally on the lower and the upper to a Aero 13.7 w/ a p/w SOLGW NOX, geissele CH, and Toolcraft DLC coated BCG. I’d probably just buy BCM or Aero now if I were to do it all over again or a PWS.

  3. I gotta be honest, man. I dont think ive ever seen a stainless barrell of any reputable quality open up drastically at 5k unkess theyre just mag dumping into trash. Theres not really enough powder burn or overbore to wreck a barrel at that round count thats 22-250 territory and maybe a 6.5. All of my stainless have a minimum 10k life expectations per manufacturer specs. I have CHF guns over 40ish thousand theyre opened up a touch. Even .308 stainkess barrels are looking at 8 to 10k before they start giving up. Good video though but that point was a touch off

  4. My first rifle, much to the dismay of my betters: a POF revolution

It's been a pretty expensive dmr build, honestly not doing great financially because of it and it's not even done

    Revolution 16"
Geissele ssa x trigger (did not need)
    Cal atlas bipod qd
    Lmt dmr stock
    Athlon Gen2 2-12
    Gg&g qd mount
    Kac micro irons (stupid)
    Holosun aems
    Magpul k2 xl grip
    Vickers sling
    Arisaka mounts
RAILSCALES G10 3X (STUPID, SERIOUSLY DID NOT NEED)

    Stuff on the way:

    Goonbeam v2
Power Custom steel charging handle (probably stupid AND dont need)

Stuff I've bought and not using:

    Utg scope mount
    Magpul DT Carbine stock
    Magpul mlok grip covers (12x)
    Magpul k2+ grip
    mkm vertical crossover grip
    Ergo right handed grip
    Psa MEAN grip
    Tango down large battle grip
Scalarworks 1.93 height irons (for offset mount irons)

All that's left is new Muzzle break and suppressor of some kind. Need to learn a lot before I put big money down again

  5. My first was a police trade colt that i sold(still mad i did that) 2nd was a built gun old aero lower and upper, 16 inch heavy contpur FN CHF barrel which need to be replaced its got right at 58ish thousand on it.

    Current favs:
issued ruger ar556 3 years old 22000 rounds still grouos well but i have a second barrwl ready to go.

Aero(pre vid) lower speced out with my favorite parts Larue stealth 16 inch upper currently at 8000 rounds

BCM QRF 16 on SOLGW lower justbover 70000 rounds on its third bcm barrel and 2nd BCG

    Currwnt buikd
    Geissele, FCD, BCM, Springco lower
Upper- Roscoe, Mega, Geissele, Radian, Griffin, BCM mam its pretty also has
exps 3-2&g43, FP Peq15, Modlite OKW, Railscales. Its gonna rock but its clipping the 10k price point

  6. DelTon is my go to for a project gun to upfit.
They seem to have good bones.
Buying quality, I have Wilson Combat and Blackout Defense. SOLGW seems to have a great build, and I have a BCM, what more can be asked for?

  7. I got my first AR about 6 months ago. I made the mistake of not doing enough research and bought one from someone who is a competition shooter. The result is something that looks nice, but is heavy as hell. So now I have to decide whether to replace the upper and hope it brings it down to a 'normal' weight, or just buy a new rifle and sell this one.

  8. My first and only AR:

    16” Daniel Defense DDM4 complete upper ($1,291.01)
    S&W MP15 Sport, kept lower ($839)
    Magpul stock ($64.95)
    Sparrow Dynamics grip ($55.74)
    Strike Industries JCOMP V2 ($39.95)
Strike Industries SI Oppressor ($114.95 tax+ $14.51) Magpul ANGLED FORE GRIP ($35.50)
    M-LOK® Rail Covers, Type 2 ($23.46)
    B.A.D. Lever ($32.95)
    HOLOSUN HE510C-GR ($376)

    Total: $2,873.51

I forgot the Surefire light with pressure pad.

    I could’ve bought a Blackout Defense.

  9. I think it was around 2006, my first was a bushmaster 5.56 M4. I did add a picatinny rail with a 37mm launcher, laser, & scope but overall pretty generic. I recently built a .300 blackout with a folding stock for storage. It has an Aero precision 10.3"upper, BCM-bcg, shield arms lower, upgraded trigger springs, SBA3 pistol brace, primary arms front focal plane LVPO, ambi selector, strike industries angled foregrip, streamlight with pressure switch, & lancer magazines, magpul flip up back up sights, enhanced lower parts group, and a upgraded charging handle. Color scheme is FDE upper, black lower, FDE Brace, FDE 2 point sling. I think that pretty much covers it!
