Like a Mosin Nagant?
Nahhhhh, maybe on the scope, but the rifles these days are so good that you can spend 1000 bucks and get a MOA rifle. If you’re handy you can bed it and hand load to shrink the groups further.
Howa 1500 heavy barrel for sub 1k gets it done for me. No need to spend thousands to get into precision shooting.
Long range guys are like overlanders. Fat and willing to pay obscene amounts of money for insignificant performance increases
Good gear only compliments a good user
What’s the $$$ damage? Caliber used? Difference at 100, 500 or 1,000?
He's right. Only rich people should own guns. $40,000 at least for your first bolt action.
I disagree. Buy the best gear you can reasonably afford. Don’t take food off the table.
Definitely worth it to spend $7k+ on your rifle/scope setup as an entry shooter. 🙄
Yeah I made the mistake of going cheap with a Howa APC. I grew out of it fast, and when it mattered, it failed me. Got me to where I was tied for 1st in Production in PRS Midwest, then completely fell apart at the Regional Finale. Buy once, cry once is the best way to go.
