The least recognized factor of marksmanship is Consistent Recoil Resistance. And when Natural Point of Aim has not been adjusted to Princess and the Pea sensitivity then inconsistent recoil resistance will be the outcome and thus Altered Impact. The bottom-line is nothing about the rifle, ammunition, or shooter’s position can be different from shot to shot or results will not be as desired. Now, acquiring Princess and the Pea sensitivity for NPA is not on the Radar of most shooters out there because the need for consistent recoil resistance is not taught. In fact, I’ve only seen two mentions of it. One mention is in a USAMU Shooting Guide and another is in a Marine Corps document. At any rate, for sure, High Master Classification Long-Range Shooters know the importance of consistent recoil resistance, it’s THE FACTOR that made High Master Classification possible, that plus some wind countering skill.
