On Wednesday, May 1st, the Kansas Legislature adjourned sine die from the 2024 legislative session. While the session was a fairly quiet for Second Amendment related legislation, several attempts were made to add gun control amendments to active legislation that were defeated in both chambers. Additionally, SB 551, mandating the storage of firearms, was defeated in the Senate.

In the meantime, please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates on issues affecting our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage in Kansas.
