Theres no need for a safety on 99% of rifles, mine dont have any, ans they stay loaded 24/7..half cock and common sense are wonderful. The only gun i want a safety on is a single action autoloading pistol, hopefully for obvios reasons

If you ND at a match you get disqualified immediately, so if your fundamentals of firearm safety are good. It's not a problem. Like he said, bolt to the rear. Mag out.

I have never seen a bolt open while hunting. That is terrible advice.

Yeah iβm really forgetful too. I ended up taking the safeties off my AR and 1911 because of how I often forget to disengage them at the range.
