  1. While the timber creek extended mag release is a great upgrade. Be aware, it doesn’t work with all aftermarket stocks. I installed my 1970s 10/22 in a Blackhawk adjustable stock with pistol grip. The lever was too long to fit with this stock. It did fit on my Boyd rubberize perfectly

  2. I watched your video for sometime now until I got my release in the mail. The one I ordered isn't a timber creek one but it come from flea Bay. I was wondering when your mag is installed does your release jiggle? Mine does. Snug without mag in but loose with mag in.

  3. My dad bought my 10/22 in 71 Monte Carlos stock which I really like. Anyway the existing clip release is nothing like the one you demonstrated with prior to replacing with the extended release lever. Are you familiar with the older release design and if so is it a similar disassembly?

  4. Is there any side to side wiggle or excess play on the Timber Creek? Looks well made . I been reading the reviews on the Amazon China brands about complaints of excess side to side feeling of looseness.

  5. I now have the extended mag release. Still have trouble with one of my Ruger BX-25 mags. When I first tried the BX-25s, which I bought a package of two from Midway USA, so I am pretty sure they are Ruger originals. I put the first one on with some difficulty and then could not get it off. I finally removed the scope, turned the rifle over, stood on it and used a long screwdriver with electrical tape on it to depress the mag release and pull this way and that way until it finally came off. I got up enough guts to try the second one and it went on easy and came off easy. I have compared them, even measured with calipers and cannot see any difference. I bought the extended release since my thumb was very sore from trying to remove that 1st one. I still struggle with that 1st one, but with the extended mag release at least my thumb has healed up. I took a dremmel polishing wheel to the 1st BX-25 and it is a little easier, but still hard to get on and off. Can do it without removing the scope and standing on the rifle now. LOL! The 10 round mag just falls right out when I use it with the extended mag release.

Anyone with this problem please explain what you did or make me a video on how to fix that one BX-25. LOL!

  6. FYI… You made this simple change-out, Wayyy too complicated!! There is No Need to remove the entire trigger group from the rest of the gun. First thing you do (with No Mag in it, obviously), is compress inward.. the mag release/holding "bolt" with one finger (keep it compressed against its spring, until you've swapped out the mag release with the new one), then push the retainer Pin Towards the side that you (wrongly) pushed From, and Only enough to release the mag release tab. Drop the new release tab in, push the pin, back through and your done. It can be completely done (including removing and replacing the stock) in Less than 2 minutes.

  7. I had these thinking it will work with my hunting. The bottom part gets caught in my pants and belt when hanging on my shoulder with a sling. It keeps on getting caught on somethung when hunting in the bush and forest. So, straight to the garbage. Not recommended for hunting style.
