Just remember to always practice your gun safe rules and in the bottom of your grip is a compartment that you can put extra batteries for lights or sights and tools but the most important thing is to train with it keep learning
You can get something called a "bad lever" i highly recommend it. Basically it extends this function down into the trigger guard, and you can close or hold open the bolt all with you trigger finger. Saves a ton of time and you don't have to awkwardly hold your AR to hold open the bolt
I hate all these haters. They don't understand that there are people just getting into guns. Good job you found out that feature man. Now can you tell me what the button next to the charging handle is called and what it does?
Someone ignored the “read manual before operating firearm” on the manual. And I’m not being mean, to everyone who is new into guns and is just now stepping into the 2A community I welcome you. But please PLEASE read and research your weapon so you know exactly how it works before taking it to the range. Things CAN go wrong, not saying things will just from being uneducated. But for example, if you’re uneducated and happen to fire a squib. If you’re uneducated then you might just send another round down the barrel. Big no no
I’ll admit, it made me chuckle a bit at first thought. But, when I took the short for what it is, it’s a good one. A person newer/less family teaching a fact he learned to others in a community he hopefully cares for. Good on yah man.
Its awesom when you find new mechanics out on your firearm. I am a ar15 junkie and i was so excited when i started figuring things out like this. Awesome job man.
You can also… with the changing handel pulled back, and magazine out. With your other hand insert your index finger up the magwell. Push up in front of the bolt face. It's the same part when a magazine empties the follower pushes up and it catches the bolt

Thanks to all and happy range days!
God I hope this is a joke
Samething for handguns. Rack the slide while holding up on the slide release.
Typical psa owner…
never realized i could turn left at a four way intersection
thank you bro
thought i could only go right
California's, stop touching guns.😂
Just remember to always practice your gun safe rules and in the bottom of your grip is a compartment that you can put extra batteries for lights or sights and tools but the most important thing is to train with it keep learning
Amen brother I hope you keep learning

Beautiful rifle
It’s a good way to clear jams so you don’t have to mortar it.
Hell yeah keep on keeping on brother, this stuff isn’t second nature and giving people the information is half the battle!
No slide….CHARGING HANDLE

Magpul bad lever makes it a little easier
Hell yeah brother, i don't know your amount of knowledge on firearms, but if you're new to 2a, welcome, buddy. I'm glad to have you a with us!
I’ll admit, it made me chuckle a bit at first thought. But, when I took the short for what it is, it’s a good one. A person newer/less family teaching a fact he learned to others in a community he hopefully cares for. Good on yah man.
My man…. Your are waaaaaayy late to the party there 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No one can make fun of this dude cause everyone has been at this point at some point of time wether they want to admit it or not
It’s called a bolt catch for a reason.
Nice! Most of y’all should seriously know this but if you didn’t know you know…😂😂
If you know, then you should know to deciminate information. Its better we're all on the same page.
glad to see you learn new stuff! don’t worry about people talking shit, most of them only train on call of duty servers
I just learned this 3 days ago shits crazy lmfao
Everyone in the military knows that.
I see every day at the range, alot of people dont know this. Great info.
Wait til you hear about bad levers lol
Thx!!
You can also insert and use an empty magazine. That would basically lift the hold open for you and charging the gun will engage it.
it's like a slide lock on a pistol
You should put together your own lower and upper. You learn a lot of shit by doing that
I guess I have to be fair since I had the benefit of learning this in the military lol. Good looking rifle!
Try to separate the pulling of the charging handle from pushing the lock button.
I recommend a Phase 5 Extended Bolt Release, it makes functioning your platform much faster and everything is down in your working area.
Good shit brother, happy to see you are enjoying your experiences and findings.
Only thing I see here that sticks out is the amount of oil used to lubricate it
Its awesom when you find new mechanics out on your firearm. I am a ar15 junkie and i was so excited when i started figuring things out like this. Awesome job man.
Nice rifle brooo! Welcome to the club 🫶
It's not hidden, you just didn't know.
PSA rocks!
Imma be honest I had my rifle for like a year and was pulling the paddle back instead of pressing under it to hold open my bolt lol
Magpul got something to make it way easier

No Shit eh?
Wow, thanks for the lesson nube
And your pistol grip is hollow for spare parts.
