Just remember to always practice your gun safe rules and in the bottom of your grip is a compartment that you can put extra batteries for lights or sights and tools but the most important thing is to train with it keep learning

You can get something called a "bad lever" i highly recommend it. Basically it extends this function down into the trigger guard, and you can close or hold open the bolt all with you trigger finger. Saves a ton of time and you don't have to awkwardly hold your AR to hold open the bolt

You can also insert and use an empty magazine. That would basically lift the hold open for you and charging the gun will engage it.

You should put together your own lower and upper. You learn a lot of shit by doing that

Try to separate the pulling of the charging handle from pushing the lock button.

I recommend a Phase 5 Extended Bolt Release, it makes functioning your platform much faster and everything is down in your working area.

Imma be honest I had my rifle for like a year and was pulling the paddle back instead of pressing under it to hold open my bolt lol

Magpul got something to make it way easier

You can also… with the changing handel pulled back, and magazine out. With your other hand insert your index finger up the magwell. Push up in front of the bolt face.
It's the same part when a magazine empties the follower pushes up and it catches the bolt
