When the time comes to retire a trusted piece of shooting gear, the needs have changed…big, heavy and bulky gives way to sleek, light and quick… and so it is with binoculars…One correction, these binoculars are Nikon, but made in China…

Hey Steve, have an old "large" pair of binoculars also. A pair of YAMATAR 7X35 wide angle. They also have an old leather case, mine is brown and fortunately the top still closes. The neck strap however as gone by the way of Father Time ! Great pair and use them quite a bit around the house. Do also have a small pair of Nikon's for the range bag. " Good shooting to ya "

Highlyskilled357 Â Hello FC45lc. Do you possibly have an email address where I could send you a question?

I bought my first pair of 20× by 50 celestron binocs. However I'm hoping that the Primary Arms 1-6X acss scope I have might do the same.
My brother have a pair of nikons like that and they're great for checking bullet holes.
But how are they for hunting snipe?
Great video Cookie.
Thank you
Nathan
Funny thing, the optics (Russian) are made superior to any other lenses because of the time involved to make them as far as military binoculars. Because of the nature of my occupation, I know this as a fact. Good video Cookie.
Years ago, as you say Tasco was great optics. I bought a rubber coated 8×40 set from Max Gotchman ( the founder of the Academy Sports stores in the South) way back in the early 70"s, when Max was in Austin, Texas. I am still using them. I do have several other sets of binoculars of various brands and much less weight.
Agreed tasco back then was great. Now not so much. The curse of mass production and money misers.
first 🙂
