Long-range scopes can be expensive thanks to their powerful magnification and glass. So, you want to make your purchase count, but there are so many scopes on the market that you would likely buy the wrong scope the first few times.

Some people would swear by the principle of “buy once, cry once”, meaning that it’s always better to splurge on an expensive scope that lasts you a lifetime rather than a few bad ones which total cost outweighs the one expensive scope anyway. And I’m inclined to agree with this sentiment.

  1. What’s important is a reticle and glass that gives the shooter exacting recognition for where the barrel is pointed. This should be a buyer’s first concern but is often overlooked by novice shooters who perceive other elements are paramount to success. Some experience with iron sight Long Range Service Rifle Competition proves the best results are not conditional to magnification.

  2. I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

  3. واقعا نمیفهمم در جایی که اشمیت بندر و نایت فورس و زایس و سوارفسکی هستن چرا بهترین ها رو به این مدل های درجه۲ دادین؟؟؟؟!!!!!؟؟؟؟؟!!!!!!؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟

  4. You said TOP 5. You started with a budget scope. Pure BS. I was looking for A TOP 5! Best in the world!!! S&B, Zeiss etc. Waste of time….shut the vid after the first worthless eval (which was not even an eval, just a repeat of the advert for the scope).

  5. For those of you looking for "Budget Scopes" for long range you must consider repeatability in the turrets above all else. Most budget glass will get the job done at 1,000 yards. You may see some chromatic aberration along the edges. It's just not polished as well as the center of the glass. Its important to have clear glass and with todays manufacturing processes its getting cheaper. Also if you are on a budget, don't buy high zoom optics. The glass is not as polished as higher end scopes. You will just be zooming in on imperfections in the glass causing the image to become darker. IMO opinion the turrets are where they need to shine. If you dial up 8.3mils at 1000 yards you should be able to go back down to 100 and have your dope. You should be able to crank it back up to 8.3 mils and repeat your results with similar conditions and ammo. If you cannot produce these results you are wasting ammunition and time. I use Stiener for everything now. But I have an M1A that I shoot a grand with that has a Vortex 2.5x10x24 pst with. I think I paid about $900 for it about 7 or 8 years ago. Yes I can afford something better now but the turrets are repeatable.

  6. Phone about to die but look up utg everyone they make budget scopes that started for air guns but a shitload of people started putting them on their long rifles and ARS I believe they have Parallax control and all that other s*** I'm not an expert on Scopes but I've seen people take 500 to 1,000 yd shots with one of the models and it was under two 250 they said they would throw away their $1,000 Scopes or never buy them had they known about the utg I don't know I don't have any on my long rifles but I know on my PCP and break barrel air rifles they're accurate as f**** to 200 yards and can still reach out clearly way beyond that I see Vortex on here there another company that is probably not as good as utg but more pricier

  7. For anybody who sees this and reads the comments a little late, I would recommend looking at the arken sh4 Gen2 line of scopes. They far outweigh any budget precision optic that vortex offers in tracking precision and ruggedness.

  8. Long range what? Competition, varmint, tactical all have different needs. Good video for sure but not sure it helps with my decision with an F-class scope. Leupold may be worth looking at in a 2nd focal plane. Thanks.

  9. If ANYONE is looking for a rifle scope and came across this asinine list, DO MORE RESEARCH!! This is the most bizarre….just thrown together list of BULLSHIT I have ever seen!! There is an LPVO scope, the WORST Athlon in there arsenal (and Athlon has some GREAT scopes but to claim the Argos is the best is a JOKE)

Just look elsewhere this was a video made for content only. It's pure dog shit

  10. This video is a joke… there's NO way to put a $300 scope in the same bracket as a $2,000 scope. Also, WHY are you showing pictures of LVPO's??? You also put the a low end Athlon scope on your list then mention the mushy turrets which in your words can effect accuracy. Honestly your video makes little sense.
