This guy is so full of shit it funny. The SBA3 is the standard for the best brace ever released thus far. They were also the only company that has an official ATF approval letter. The Magpul is the most shitty brace released in a long time. It has a qd hole on thr back thats designed to do nothing but make it uncomfortable if shouldered. Might as well have a metal spike there. The sba3 and sba4 are leagues better than all tbose other turds on the table. In fact the only other brace on the market thats better is the Gearworks Tailhook Mod2. Its solid plastic and doesnt flex and works flawlessly both as a brace and a phenomenal stock.

That brace is terrible.

The tiny little square notch that indexes the receiver extension has a ton of play in it and after repeated firing it deforms and gouges the front of the hole it’s in on the receiver extension.

Train with a tight one point sling on anything short with low recoil, forward pressure on a semi bungi sling attached to the ass is just as good as shouldering it.

Brace cost 2 times as much as a stock

The SB Tactical braces are NOT meant to be shouldered, they just can be. As a Marine Corps veteran with overall service connected spinal injuries also involving the sciatic nerve, I thought I'd have to become left handed my entire life if I tried to shoot again at all because I'm right handed but the SB Tactical brace helped me with my right as well as left hand in shooting my MP5 series guns (AR's are just too common, I'm not). Though I'll never fire rifle expert or shoot USPSA class again, at least with these I didn't have to unsafely try and try again, just sit and watch, or just give up on ever regaining at least a decent level of marksmanship again. I guess you have to be one of us to understand. Semper Fi.

The original brace concept (by the owner of SB tactical) was to aid gun owners with disabilities. Not necessarily for those without disabilities. Hence, the velcro strap is attached. I wholeheartedly agree SBR's should not be on the NFA registry.

I have never shouldered a brace in my life. I use it exactly as it was designed and intended to be used, strapped to my arm. And neither you, nor the ATF, can prove otherwise.
