Streamlight PolyTac LED Flashlight – CLIP
I recently purchased a Streamlight 88850 PolyTac LED Flashlight. I had read several conflicting reviews about the ability to remove the clip (or not being able to) as I also did not want or need the clip on the flashlight. The removal was VERY EASY. After unscrewing the top/light end where the clip is mounted, you need to “carefully remove” the small, rubber, O-Ring at the base. This O-Ring prevents the removal of the clip. I used a wooden toothpick, getting under the O-ring without damaging it. After the O-Ring is removed, the clip slides right-off with no problems. Replace the O-Ring, reattach the light-top, being careful to not cross-thread when reinstalling. Tighten the light down onto the O-Ring seal and you have a Streamlight PolyTac Flashlight without a clip. Fits perfect in my Elzetta ZSM-T Flashlight Mount.
