Energizer lithium batteries claim to have a 10 year shelf life. Stock piling those seems like a better idea than relying solely on rechargable. But, who knows if the shelf life claim is accurate.

The USB Microstream uses a 66607 battery. I wish a AAA could be used in it's place in a pinch but it can't. A 66607 should last about a year or two with consistent use and charging. My problem is that they're so small I lose them.
