After the tragic handgun attack at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) on Wednesday, President Joe Biden has issued a statement advocating for a ban on AR-15s (so-called “assault weapons.”)
The assailant, a 67-year-old career college professor who had applied but was not hired for a position at UNLV, claimed the lives of three individuals and left another critically wounded.
Biden’s statement said, in part:
For all the action we have taken since I’ve been President, the epidemic of gun violence we face demands that we do even more. But we cannot do more without Congress. Republican lawmakers must join with Democrats in Congress to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, pass a national red flag law, enact universal background checks, require the safe storage of guns, and advance other commonsense measures that will help stem the tide of gun violence.

I tuned in about an hour after this happened. The dark haired young lady was being interviewed on the street and she tried several times to explain that she never once actually saw the shooter. The reporter kept badgering her until she slipped up saying she did see police remove a long gun from a man and put him in the police car. She then said they later let him out of the back of the car. She was still visibly distraught while they kept pressing her for anything she remembers about the looks of the weapon used. They were getting exactly what they were looking for from the poor girl! It made me sick.

Isn't France and the UK discussing limiting knives because of the rash of assault knife attacks? Japan back in the early 1990's sought to limit machetes as a result of a yakuza murder filmed by news crews. The media never covers all the people that get killed in Chicago, new York, Philadelphia, on a daily basis. Interesting how three people die at a school and the media is all over it.

let's be clear. When the Democrats say "assault weapons" they really mean all guns. There is no actual definition for "assault weapons" it is a focus group term to frighten everybody. And the way you put your arguments in this video gives credence to their argument that there is a actual definition to the term assault weapons. They're not just talking about A.R. 15. They're talking about every single gun in existence
