So, what is the CMMG Dissent MK47?
I have no idea. I know what it’s a combination of, but what it is exactly, I have no idea. And you know what? I’m okay with that because, if nothing else, it’s cool.
But if I were going to give it the old college try to examine what it is, it’s a rifle chambered in 7.62×39 with a 14.3-inch barrel, which on the surface sounds like an AK-47 until you find out it has a short-action direct impingement system. So now you see why I have no idea what this thing is.
I guess the easy way to explain it is to call it the result of an AR-15 and AK-47 bumping uglies and forgetting to pull out. I’ll let y’all choose which rifle forgot to pull out.
Whichever one it was, it doesn’t matter because it seemingly takes all of the good parts of each rifle and throws out the bad, causing me to ask the question: Is this mutant of a rifle a better AK-47 than an actual AK-47?

I just saw this gun the other day. It caught my eye. I am glad you are reviewing the gun. Hum the bolt hold open is a small issue. I can hear the bolt lock back on my AR gun. And I know I need a new mag. I think I want one.

AK47 or AKM?
As a lefty I love the charging handle on the left side and the brass blocker on the right so the brass is ejected pass you face instead of into your face. All the mods without gunsmith mod pricing but my only eh is why try to make an Ak / AR platform the obvious answer is to have the best of both anyways this is a rifle that as a lefty i must have.

It's really cool but I unfortunately will never buy anything from CMMG. In my opinion they are really shitty to their customers. I ordered a complete upper kit. Waited for a year for it. After multiple times trying to figure out where my order was I was sent an email requesting that I resubmit my order. Not only was I asked to resubmit it I was going to have to pay more for it. Bunch of bull shit from a bull shit company. I would stay far far way from them

favorite AR to use in PUBG. This would be a great gun for our troops on combat. Don't have to worry about carrying extra mags or ammo, just loot your enemy.
meh. AK's only made sense because Russian ammo used to be cheap. Not the case any more. Other than that 5.56 AR is superior in any other way. Ergos, weight, field reparability. And price. $2200? No thanks.
