  1. My laser bore sight started looking all scattered after shooting about 3-4 hundred rounds through it..even after a thorough cleaning. when it was new the laser was solid and not scattered. Using your method do you have to take off the buffer weight and spring? can this be done by just taking off the whole upper without the lower even attached?

  2. Ok dum question: why didn’t you line up a mark thru the bore first, then measure up 2.75” (draw a vertical line to that point) then adjust the scope til it was on it? Guess it’s 6-1/2 dozen.

  3. Haha. After removing the charging handle and BCG I just take the upper off the lower and stabilize the upper on a backpack. Then I look down the bore until its centered on the target at predetermined yardage and then move the scope crosshairs to center on the target all without moving the bore off target. Put the upper back on the lower with charging handle and BCG and its good to go. I do the same with bolt rifles after removing the bolt. I have a Bushnell bore sighting kit I could also use that attaches to the muzzle and bore but rarely do. Thanks for sharing.
