Only people unfamiliar with this kind of would think a car door would stop a rifle bullet.

Utter B.S. Agenda is Noted. A .308 bolt action hunting rifle would penetrate a lot further and that's a minimal size for hunting larger game.
How about a Bolt action .338?
The AR15's 5.56mm rounds are much less powerful than those.

I did this with a pick up truck using my M-14. Went through both doors and the armed purp on the far side of the vehicle.

I work as an appraiser for a major insurance company. Behind the outer shell of the door is a metal bar called a door intrusion beam. If some shots dont go through, that may be why…but that intrusion beam is no more than 4" wide. I am not chancing my life to that. lol. I have appraised cars that were involved in drive by shootings, and I can confirm from experience..very rarely is that intrusion beam hit…and 9 times out of 10, that bullet is going right through that car like a hot knife through butter. Only thing that will make it stop is a solid structural portion of the vehicle
