  1. I made a similar video. Except I have an XPS2-0 model. It’s a high quality optic and I’m not doubting its capabilities. However, a lot of red dots like holosun or sig romeo just gives it a run for it’s money for a lot cheaper price. I think it really just depends on how much you’re willing to spend, what you like better, and what you’re going to be using it for. Yes, an EOTech is combat proven, but most people are just an average civilian and are they ever going to use it for combat? Probably not. 9 times out of 10 people will use it for a home defense weapon or just a fun take it to the range weapon lol the battery life isn’t much of an issue either. Unless you’re out on patrols or combat missions on a daily basis, I wouldn’t worry about it. 1000 hours is equivalent to about 41 days. I highly doubt the average civilian is using it for 41 continuous days lol
For $500-$700, you’re really just paying for the holographic feature, maybe the name brand, and the looks of the optic.
It’s a good thing the EOTech will still work if the lens is damaged, but what are the chances that you’ll damage the lens on any optic? Slim to none unless you’re doing it on purpose. I’ve served in the marine corps for almost 8 years and I’ve never seen or known anyone that has damaged their lens on their optic lol
Holographic sights are great. So are red dots. Just depends on how much you’re willing to spend and what you like.
