Looks very complicated to be cleaned at the field, AK-platforms take less than 10 seconds to be taken apart. Why people think AR is better? I have never shot one.

Get a parts cleaner and let the parts soak. Requires less elbow grease.

Buffer tube, spring, pipe cleaners for the gas system, clean the extractor, and dental pick that star chamber.
You should wear gloves. Those solvents will soak into your skin
