  1. Great Intel; thanks for sharing. If you have a bit of rattle use some electrical tape on the top part of buffer tube along where the stock slides. You can also use different thickness sizes of bowling tape used for balling ball thumb holes. You can layer it as needed. You can also use the tape at the bottom of the buffer tube, making sure to place a hole or slit at the point in which the stock locks into the adjustment holes of the buffer tube.

  2. Man! Find the Cam Pin issue hard to believe.

Been issued many very, VERY used M4s; all had been “rode hard and put away wet”. Never had a Cam Pin failure. Maybe, that’s what MILSPEC actually does for Army Training!! Or…. Maybe, I was lucky.

I was not Army 11 series. I was a 13F (FO – Light) and then 19 series (M1 Abrams). So could be wrong.

  3. I want to have a vote here. If you had to pick either an AR15 or a AKM in 7.62×39 which one would you choose? In our scenario ammo and mags for both is plentiful and this is a apocalypse situation where the only goal is survival

  4. @tactical toolbox have tou tried the ergo tdx grips my favorite is the tdx-0 its a 90deg grip makes sjooting so much more comfortable and doubles as a perfect grip for long range shooting and theyre priced well i love noth of mine im gonna get two more of them for my ruger precision rifles the gripiness of them is the best of any grip ive tried thus you should try one out theyre only $35 usually but i know you dont like rubberized grips this one is a lil diff than the eest has more texture to it and the texture is deeper which really allows ur hand to lock on to the grip and if you dont want the 90deg u can get on i think is 15seg or slmething like that which would be closer to the b5 systems grip angle… also try out the tomahawk charging handle if you havent i have the old version with even more polymer on them and its the easiest and most comfortable charging handle i have i happen to get it on a rifle i bought and loved it ever since!

  5. My favorite trigger is the cmc match trigger thats 2-2.5lbs mines around two has literally zero creep and glass like break and you can occasionally xatch it on sale for less than $150 i paid $140 for mine including shipping a few yrs ago but u can still on special sales catch them right around $150 which is a steal for that trigger has made a huge difference in my long range shooting!! Now i jus gotta get another one for my ar10 lower so i have one for big frame ar as well if i could afford it id put one of them in every single ar i own seriously…. And for some reason ive hardly ever even heard it mentioned by youtubers only the 3.5 lb version which theres a significant difference the match trigger is crisper lighter and has zero creep whereas the standard cmc can have the ever most slight amount of creep to it but its still a great trigger jus dlnt get why no ones caught on the th match version🤷🏻‍♂️

  6. ALG makes a polished nickle boron coated "mil spec" trigger with 3.5-5lbs springs your choice.

    They are like 50-75$

100% worth it if your "milspec" or can get them cheap

  7. I've foind if i clean out the buffer tube, clean off the spring and buffer weight and then just put a light oil on the spring and weight it makes a huge difference in sound. I also like using microbest phosphate chrome lined mill spec bcgs and if you oil the whole phosphate surface and give the bolt and everything a proper cleaning and lube before hand, it feels like its on glass and super quiet compared to even nb and dlc bcgs. Feels like a higher end rifle immediately

  8. As a left handed shooter you're wrong about the bolt hold. The BAD lever and others like it make locking the bolt open and dropping the bolt much faster and easier, as lefties need to reach clear up to hit a normal release with their left hand which is already holding the gun and the BAD lever allows you to use close it with the hand that just loaded a new mag.

  9. I too am very interested in that stock. On an unrelated matter, can you be on the lookout for when PSA will have their .308 version of the JAKL ready? I'm assuming it will debut at ShotShow 2024.

  10. Never having pmags again. You leave them loaded and those lips will stretch out and look like a 40yo single mother ready to settle down.
Around 5k rounds through my rifle and only 1 malfunction and it was because of a pmag I left loaded too long

  11. You're wrong on the pmag covers. Magpul has specifically refuted this and said they are simply dust covers and they recommend keeping their Mags loaded and the feed lips will not warp or break. Just fyi 🙂 I run mostly gen 3 windowed pmags and have never had an issue though I have about 10 Lancer mags and they're the next best option in my book.

  12. Great video! I love your easy-going style. A friend helped me with my first build in 6.5 grendal. The rifle is very, very nice, but I'm used to tuning my bolt action triggers for hunting to a nice crispy 3.5 – 4 lbs. The Giessle mil-spec isn't doing it for me. Thanks for your suggestion on swapping the springs. All of your other suggestions were listened to with great interest. AR's are a whole different animal, and I've much to learn.
