Solution: buy Mini14, AR15 and AK.
Mini 14 is easier to clear. Sometimes a simple metal sighted light carbine is better.
Biggest difference…the price tag. Last Mini-14 I saw was like $900 before FFL fees. You can get a no frills AR for $400
But, hey, at least its not priced the same as a Garand…..cause you don't wanna know. LOL

But the Mini-14 is a wooden rifle so it's meant to kill deer which is ok. Unless you put a pistol brace on it which makes it a gun and ups the caliber from .22 to 9mm anti-lung rounds.
For the high price of a Mini 14, those mags should be interchangeable
You forgot that you can switch to a stock with a pistol grip on your M14 Ateam style

The mini-14's and 30's main advantage are the fact they look cool so some people are a product by ruger which tends to have a pretty good handle on quality control, and have features that arent restricted in some nations, states, provinces, and towns.

My Ruger mini 14 fires the 7.62×39. The mini 14 is not considered an assault weapon. Throws the same round as the AK47 and not assault weapon. 😊
