How come some AR’s have that barrel delta ring you are talking about, you know the one where you can just push down on it to change out the hand guard and others you have to change the upper out? Like it doesn’t have the circle thing with the spring in it. Are the ones with the delta rings just older AR models?
Very informative….thanks for sharing!
The railing at 340. Does anyone have the name for it?
I am trying to attach a light system to my ar, but don’t know where to begin as far as ensuring it’ll attach.
I wish someone would make the original rifle length triangle handguard in a midsize length.
I don’t like rail barrel guards it looks too tactical
I'm very new to builds. How long are carbine lengths? Mid length? And he did mention full length is 20" but I'll just google I guess lol
Thanks a lot for posting. I just got my first DelTon AR and I'm a novice collector in general. This cleared up a lot of qurstions for me!
whats the rule of thumb tho ? If i have a mid-length barrel can I mount a carbine handguard or vice versa or is it set in stone your barrel determines what size handguard you can mount?
Good job!
hi would be the best quad rail style you would recommend for a free float 18 inch match grade barrel ..and what gad system would you go with ??
Very comprehensive, and their are so many to chose from, AIM Sports Inc.® M4 Carbine Handguard Quad Rail
Great video.
Can you have a carbine handguard on a rifle gas system
lol am I the first to say you sound like james woods?
that crazy moment when you live in Tucson and randomly stumble across this video
@4:50. very familiar as my weapon was a 203 m4 with an acog
great videos, but they gave me a migraine from the super distorted aspect ratio that you stretch it to. the barrels look like they're each 1.5" long if they are vertical and 18" long horizontally.
Just watched all 8, came back here to post what an excellent series this really is. Editing is dang near perfect, the info needed not idle chatter. Awesome job, subbed. A definite "go to first" channel.
what's the best suppressor for ar15 and can i get a m203 gl for my ar-15?
and can you make a video of the suppressors
thanks Zach
I just watched part 1. You guys did an amazing job of simplifying a subject that's been overly complicated by so many others that know much less than you do. Thank you for taking your time+effort to make this simple, but extremely instructive video-
you just clarified what i couldn't figure out carbine mid length…. thanks …so much..now imma buy my easy install rail.. palmetto ar

The handguards at 2:10 are the way to go.
I want to know Wht size barrel and handgaurd size for the assembled one u have in The video . the center one at 0:18 ..
Midlength (or carbine, rifle length) refers to the length of the gas system.
Im looking to build my first AR15. I would like to free float it just past the gas block on carbine length 16" barrel how long of a hand guard would i need
even a 14.5in can be both mid and carbine. It's how long the gas system is, not the barrel.
better give some epinephrine and defib them then.
Vltor is the way to go for sure.
this is an outstanding video. thanks for putting this together.
whats the handguard shown when you talk about the M230 grenade launcher?
Did not even begin to scratch the surface of free-floated rail options ! ? … So … The reason I bothered to watch this vid is because I am planning to build an 18" mid-weight barreled (maybe fluted with a Wylde chamber) … I am thinking a Troy Alpha type rail and am really clueless how to source the proper parts and to do this build right. No help from THIS video, sadly.
I working on my first AR build and what im trying to achieve is basically the same rifle you have on the table almost in the middle. I want a 16" barrel with a free float rail that extends almost the same length as the barrel and also sits flush against the upper as well as the rails meeting. What is a good budget free float hand guard that fits that description? Thanks.
Good video, to the point easy to understand. Thanks for not making it so technical it gets boring. Looking forward to watching the other videos. Great job!
Thanks for the informative video.
