The AR 10 rifle is known for being heavy due to being a larger caliber than most AR 15s. However, the Ruger SFAR has shown that the larger caliber firearms can easily be as light as their smaller caliber counterparts.

Any recommendations for mounting the pressure pad to the top of a Ruger SFAR? The section on the handrail where I want to mount it is the smooth section. This makes the set up more ambidextrous.

Nice unboxing. I went with a Radian Raptor charging handle on mine. Works well but any AR-15 compatible handle will work. I'm about 165 rounds into my break in. Zero malfunctions running cheap Armscor 147gr .308 in setting 3. Had a couple failure to feed on setting 2 so i put it back on 3 & finished the mag off no problem. I have a short YT vid of other accessories & optic if you wanna check it out. Looking forward to vids of you shooting it! 👍
Nice gun. Good call on the 16". Light and nimble. Great trigger as well.
The allen key for the gas block is in the Magpul grip. It takes standard ar-15 charging handles. I went with a timber creek enforcer to help with the stiffer buffer spring

Most frustrating experience I've ever had with any gun in my life. Going to work on a long promised follow up video, after getting mine back from Ruger, after trying countless different ammos and mags and gas settings, I am in it deep with this gun, money and time….and spoiler alert: I will be calling Ruger again one last time to fix it cough straight replace this lemon piece of trash…no guts swapping or this and that…..total lemon! It's ruined everything I ever thought about Ruger as a company, at this point.
