The Armed Attorneys (shout out) say carrying a medical kit on your person if you're also carrying a gun could be used against you if you end up having to act in a self defense situation. Med kit in your car, not on your person.
Just an FYI, for the “typical” civilian, most attorneys state that carrying an IFAK for EDC is not the best idea should you unfortunately be in a self defense shooting situation
getting shot can suck or blow…depending on which part of the breathing cycle you were on at the time.
