Update: Received a response from Eotech. The black bar is something they call a fiber optic tab and has something to do with a low battery indicator.
Thank you so much for putting together this video. I wanted to ask you about the black bar that appears on the left side of the image. I thought at first it was a lens defect and the manual doesn't mention anywhere that I could find, but then I noticed that it's no longer visible after the scope is at 4x, which is what Eotech lists as the lower end of the effective magnification. At 2.5x the scope image is wonderful except for that black bar. Do you have any idea what that thing is? Anyway, great video and thanks again.

Thank you for the review. Honestly saying this device from EOTech has similar image quality to chinese digital NV devices and scopes that cost $500-$600 USD max. The same dependency on active IR to get at least some details on ~100-200m distance. A little bit dissapointed, especially considering EOtech $10K price tag. 😥

Has anyone tried doing an Eotech exps with the G45 magnifier and having your NVG’s looking threw that? I have that setup my self I really should try it one day. As far as duel tubes I have us night vision pvs31D, ur a you tuber u can afford it lol.
