Enhanced AR10 Bolt Carriers – Part 2

I have a PWS Mk216 308, and the cam pin is gouging the absolute crap out of the receiver. I just got a POF cam pin for it.

If they are high pressure Bolts then why don't almost all of these MF's HPT/MPI their bolts? I know a set of reasoning for it but that has been debunked by other knowledgeable people in the industry and it just seems silly not to. Why pay extra for a BCG if it doesn't even have the proper testing (hence why I buy Aero AR-10 BCGs)?

What's the difference between a full auto AR-10 bolt carrier and a semi-auto one?

Too bad the Gem-tech and Bootleg AR10 BCG are no longer made.  
2A- Armament may be one of the last AR10 adjustable BCG from the ejection port side of the rifle.

What are your thoughts on the Sharps Rifle Company bcg for 308??

i think you need to redo these videos on bolt carriers. There is certainly alot more choices available now.

Should a 308 bolt stand up without collapsing from the weight of the carrier like a 556 does ?

Must agree with OP that a PROPERLY chromed bolt carrier assembly would be hard to beat.

Did you say that you were running the POF cam pin on external piston 5.56? I have an LMT ,would I benefit runing the POF cam pin?

I just built a AR308 and having ejecting problems it did have a carbine stock on it its got a 20 inch barrel on it I just changed it and put a luth rifle stock kit on it its still having short stroking problems. I been thinking could it be my bcg

I would not use a JP HP Bolt in an AR10 ever again. Rifle started short cycling after I installed it. Went back to standard Tool Craft carrier and immediately rectified the problem. I have yet to find a load, either 7.62×51 or .308, that wont work. JP bolt seems like a mouse trap to me.

Recently shot my LMT AR-10 with the POF roller cam and it works great.

Good stuff. I have a Tool Craft NiB bcg that I got for around $100 and it's doing well in an 18 inch rifle length gas Aero 308.

Are these bolt carriers interchangeable between the AR10, SR25, and DPMS platforms?
Also Chris, given the chance to pick only one BCG to go into battle with, which would you choose?

How would you classify the .308 BCG from Aero Precision?

I have 3 308 bcgs and to be honest toolcraft (a military oem for 5.56 carriers) is the best bang for buck. They make single eject, double, and different coatings. Just 2 cents
