The NRA is gathering to celebrate gun culture as more children were killed in mass shootings this weekend. “Instead of being under two percent of all weapons sold, the AR-15 is now 25% of all weapons sold,” Fred Guttenberg, gun safety advocate and father of Jaime Guttenberg, who was killed in the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, tells Joy Reid. “Understanding gun violence–it’s easy. It’s in the numbers. We were conned.”

To be fair, most of the gun violence in MS comes from one city. The murder rate in Jackson is about 90/100k. Biloxi is like 6.5/100k. Same for Louisiana and New Orleans. New Orleans, LA and Jackson, MS have two of the high per capita murders, and they bump up the average for their respective states. Update: Jackson once again has the highest murder rate in the United States.

It all comes down to EDUCATION. Something extremely lacking and very discouraged in your racist, mysoginist country. Kay Ivey is an especially dispicable woman and yet, y'all are so uneducated, you constantly re-elect her! She is about to take the 2b $ she "found" in the education budget and use it for a theme park! Yes, she would never think to use it for education cuz y'all are so inbred it wouldn't do any good anyway.
If you really want lawmakers who will actually do something about the INSANE epidemic of gun violence in this country, you need to VOTE for them. PLEASE make sure you are registered to vote as soon as legally possible. Educate yourself and others about registration and voter-identification requirements in your state. Find voters’ guides and share them. Make a plan to vote. Find voting locations near you. Encourage your friends to vote early. Volunteer for campaigns you support.
Democracy is not a spectator sport. Use it or lose it.

I am truly sorry this man lost his child. But would someone please tell him that 90% of all gun murders in this country – 19,000 a year! – are with ILLEGAL HANDGUNS in Democrat-run cities! And they are cities with the toughest gun laws in the nation!
Some people think it would be fun to live in a John Wayne movie, but in real life, the "Wild West" had laws banning carrying guns in town. Sane people don't enjoy having shootouts when they just wanted to have a drink at the bar. They feel sad and angry when people get shot; they don't harass the victims' families and accuse them of faking it. It's not normal to live in fear of being shot to death.

In Uvalde armed law enforcement in protective gear waited 77 minutes to go in because the guy inside had an AR15. What is an armed teacher going to do against an AR15?
A survey of criminals showed that they prefer knives first and handguns second. They like the silence and lesser penalties. Few preferred long guns because they are hard to conceal and maneuver . Many surveyed also stated they support banning of firearms. It helps with job safety in their chosen career. Career criminals are also against concealed carry. It makes picking their next mark more difficult. Their favorite target is gun free zones. It gives them one less thing to think about. You don't see many gun stores robbed during business hours after all. My liberal minded friends are in a quandary. They can't seem to understand why gun sales go up in direct proportion to both increased gun restrictions and increasing crime. The second one should have been obvious. The first one is a little harder for the average woke mind to comprehend . They have to realize that the same leaders that are pushing for more gun control, are the same woke/ progressive / justice warriors that let violent criminals out on our streets. They are the same ones allowing the third world to open their prisons and mental institutions , and sending them north across our "secure border" for us to take care of. I know, who am I to tell people in blue , democrat controlled cities what they should do. Since they keep reelecting the same ones that give them high crime and fecal avoidance maps, I should just say nothing. The problem is they want to bring the same policies that produced their urban sewers to where I live.
When I was a kid I remember seeing pictures of the Islamic Extremists like the Taliban with all their AK-47s… The fear of their ideology and society spreading made me fear them and eventually hate them. Now it's the NRA and their cult holding their AR-15s giving me those same vibes.

How are 6 year olds allowed to enter an NRA convention? How are they allowed to handle guns? Any other nation would see this as child endangerment and negligence. Brewing unhinged kids. This is not normal for the mental development of kids. Also, mentally people associate guns with unrest. Not good for conflict resolution, agreeing to disagree etc..
