Can a 308 carbine with a 16-inch barrel reach out and touch long range targets? Let’s find out! If it works, a lightweight AR-10 like this CMMG Resolute might be your One Gun: a compact long range carbine that can handle any target at any practical distance.

I'd love that setup.
I’ve always loved long distance shooting. You make it look easy.
Need an AR10 & look forward to more vids on the resolute from you.
That’s a pretty good looking and good shooting setup.
Thank you 😊
Yeah, that's not a carbine and you need to get off your toes in the prone position, Nijinsky.
Them CMMGs shot nice but for me I like 20" barrels over the 16" just for the extra velocity
I just cant believe you are alone on this range! Where is that?
So what are your thoughts on the new 400 Legend? Im at an age (53) where im not sure i need or want another new caliber. Btw I love that winchester round. My son used it on 3 deer in my 350 legend. And ive taken a few with my 308.
Good calling . Good shooting.
Midway has the new triggers. I'd get the 2-stage, but $260/265 is money I can't spend right now.
Good one! Very nice. That was enjoyable to watch! Looking forward to that new trigger coming out too!
I think a lot of people overlook that accuracy and barrel length aren't strongly really related in long guns. Bill Marr has done some really nice series of cutting barrels down inch by inch to test velocity changes, and he regularly shows that there's no accuracy loss as the barrel shortens. As long as the hit to muzzle velocity isn't crippling, sure use a short barrel. The new military rifle is designed for a 13" barrel.
Nice to see this video, SR. Thanks for uploading!
