Brownells Gun Techβ„’ @CalebSavant gives us a rundown on why the B5 Systems Bravo Stock is his favorite AR-15 carbine buttstock. You’ve probably noticed it on “Caleb’s Hotness,” the gray AR-15 that features in many of our videos. The Bravo stock is made of high-quality molded polymer with subtle non-slip texturing. But the first thing you’ll notice about it is the large cheekrest area – larger than you’ll see on most AR carbine stocks. It gives a very secure cheekweld, making the rifle more comfortable to shoot, with better control for more accurate shooting.

The lever for extending and retracting the stock has knobby surface texturing that gives you a non-slip purchase to operate the latch quickly and easily. You can feel the texture even when you’re wearing gloves. There are sockets on both sides of the stock for pushbutton QD (quick-detach) sling swivels, plus two thread-through slots for traditional sling mounting.

Out back there’s a rubber recoil pad with subtle non-slip texturing. The pad is just soft enough to grab your shoulder firmly, but it’s not mushy. If you prefer, you can remove the recoil pad, and the polymer surface underneath has its own anti-slip texture.

You can get the B5 Systems Bravo Stock in basic black, Flat Dark Earth (FDE), Coyote Brown, O.D. Green, Wolf Gray, and even Multi-Cam. If you’re a Heckler & Koch fan or just want something different, you can get your Bravo stock in RAL8000, that yellow-tan-olive color found on the furniture of some H&K firearms. The RAL8000 Bravo stock is available ONLY from Brownells.

  1. Stock seems neat. RAL 8000 is way too yellow, though. I suppose it helps feds glow like the sun, with their HKs (and DDs, etc.). They're afforded rights that they constantly tread on in our case, and our dollars pay to equip them. Something to think about. Their bosses also tell us that if we don't turn our AC off (and stop driving gas cars, stop eating meat, etc.) then we're killing the planet. Meanwhile, they live in more opulence and depravity than ever before in history; Again, paid for by our dollars, and their cough deals we aren't supposed to talk about. We also aren't supposed to talk about the dynasties of the 1%, epstein connections, etc. Please research the WEF and their members, and what they say about taking our property and privacy away by 2030. They aren't empty threats from them, either; They're driving legislation towards that end and have been for decades.

  2. Barbershop awareness:
don’t sit in the chair of the barber with the β€˜cool’ hair-trim, the other
barber (with the un-cool haircut) is the better choice.
as they cut each others hair.

  3. Good stock, not a fan myself. I prefer some type of guard to stop inadvertently extending the stock while manhandleing the rifle during drills, belly crawling through brush and mud, tunnels etc.

  4. I have a Troy Battle Stock with the same shape cheek weld and a spot with steel QD mounts and two storage areas, with two spots for AA batteries and a large spot for whatever.

  5. Nothing, and I mean nothing, no other stock beats the Magpul ACS stock. It is hands down the best there is out there. Minus one exception, if you are intentionally building a rifle to be the absolutely lightest possible and you've got out of your way to get carbon fiber, titanium etc. Related parts to shave off ounces anywhere you can. But shy of that, there is just no other stock out there that can compare with the quality, the cheek weld, the storage, the strength and the feel of the Magpul ACS. It is just unbeatable. It's lighter cousin the acs-l isn't bad either

  6. I've been using "BRAVO CO." GUNFIGHTER.
This B5 stock has really clean lines, and looks a little lighter. At 59 yrs. Old, I'll make things as light as possible. I'm still in extremely good shape- but I'm also almost 60. May have to upgrade.

  7. I'm a man. Hair grows on my face. Those of us with sizable beards know how aggravating it is for your stock to yank beard hair from your chin. I give B5 stocks 5 stars for beard friendliness along with the Vltor line of stocks. The magpul ctr … not beard friendly, in my experience. Thank you Caleb for all you do.

  8. great content great review: to tell you the truth, I would like to see B5 systems make a minimalist stock with a nice cheek weld. Kinda Like the Mission First Tactical Battlelink minimalist stock, but with the wide cheek weld

  9. The milspec grip and stock are so great to start with I don't understand why anyone would ever "upgrade" πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

  10. Caleb: "Go look for yourself…"
Me: Goes to Brownell's to see that the image for the RAL8000 pattern just says "Coming soon."
