These very mags are absolutely PERFECT to cram into a ready, set and go kit WHEN/IF the times comes and we HAVE to use the 2nd Amendment for what is was originally meant for. I've run a couple for serviceability and reliability purposes and I have ZERO issue with them through normal use. Grab 10 to 15 of these per rifle you may have on stand by, load 'em and tuck 'em away and KEEP THEM IN PRISTINE SHAPE! Still have a good supply of other, better mags to use for range/training or frequent plinking use. I've ordered a couple box loads of these things to service all my 'stand-by' ARs and I have a few to help outfit folks in my area who may be needing some in a dire emergency. Yes, it is easy to get angry at people for not preparing properly but when the flag goes up, it will not be time to point fingers and argue at that point, it will be time to get to work. Come to think of it, the next time they are in stock and at the same ridiculously cheap price, I fully intend to snatch another box.
My rule of thumb is to have on hand enough extra mags that I, personally, can equip 5 or 6 men with enough mags to last at least one good tussle with each man having 10 or 12 reloads. This is not 'walk-through-the-woods, hauling a heavy rucksack kind of LARPING, I'm talking a full on, hit and get out type of quick strike or enough to defensively break out of a poor position and leg it out of the area. I'm trying to plan out the best way I can help others to help me and to help themselves.
heck I will take 1 or two off your hands if you want to donate any to a broke person that could use an extra AR-15 mag or two. truth is, I don't even have $5.
